The first UMAP research-Net workshop: implementing strategies for establishing a long-lasting research partnership in the Lower Mekong River Basin
From 26 to 28 October 2009, Walai Rukhavej Botanical Research Institute of Mahasarakham University hosted the first UMAP Research-Net workshop. The workshop was organized with a round-table discussion with participating researchers from three oversea universities: Sultan Idris, University of Education (UPSI), Malaysia, Center for Irrigation, Land and Water Resources, and Development Studies, Andalas University (UNAND), Indonesia and Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF), Vietnam.
Walai Rukhavej Botanical Research Institute (WRBRI) of Mahasarakham University will launch an inaugural opening workshop of the UMAP Research-Net project (2009) from 26-28 October 2009. The workshop is truly sponsored by a research grant from the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP). The main goals of the workshop are to discuss the implementation strategies of the research project and conducting collaborative research in biodiversity of choice in the Lower Mekong River Basin.
Our participating researchers from Sultan Idris, University of Education, Malaysia, Center for Irrigation, Land and Water Resources, and Development Studies, Andalas University (PSI-SDALP Unand) of Indonesia and Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) of Vietnam have confirmed their participation in the workshop.
